Technical Support Engineer (Java / SaaS Platform)

We’re currently partnering with a leading global SaaS company to find a Technical Support Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working across modern web application stacks.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a development or DevOps background who enjoys troubleshooting real-world production issues and working directly with enterprise customers.

You’ll be joining a high-performing technical support team responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex platform issues while collaborating closely with engineering and product teams.

The Role

As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll investigate and resolve challenging technical issues across a large-scale enterprise SaaS platform. You’ll work across application, infrastructure, and integration layers to identify root causes and deliver solutions for global customers. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure, and customer support.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues within a cloud-based enterprise platform
  • Analyse logs, APIs, and system behaviour to identify root causes
  • Work closely with engineering and development teams to resolve platform issues
  • Support enterprise customers by diagnosing application and infrastructure problems
  • Debug object-oriented code and automation scripts when required
  • Investigate database queries, networking behaviour, and system integrations
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external customers

What We’re Looking For

You may come from a software engineering, DevOps, or platform support background.

Key experience includes:

  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • Understanding of web application architecture and infrastructure
  • Experience reading or debugging object-oriented code (Java preferred)
  • Scripting experience such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience working with SQL databases (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience with Linux/Unix or Windows Server environments
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, HTTP, firewalls, or load balancing
  • Strong communication skills are important as this is a customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience with ServiceNow products (ITOM / ITAM / CMDB)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Familiarity with VMware environments
  • Experience with networking tools such as Wireshark or Traceroute
  • Knowledge of SNMP monitoring and event management systems
